Activdogs is now Steven Symonds — Dog Behaviour & Training. A name that better reflects the work I do.
Sometimes you have a fairly specific question and do not need a full Behaviour Consultation. The Advice Call gives you 30 minutes of professional guidance by telephone.
By telephone
A focused 30-minute conversation.
For contained questions
Useful when you mainly need guidance on what to do next.
Short follow-up email
Confirming the main points discussed.
• A contained behaviour question where you mainly need guidance on what to do next.
• An early change in behaviour where you are unsure whether a full assessment is needed.
• Immediate management questions while you decide on the most appropriate next step.
• Talking through a situation that does not require me to observe your dog in person.
• Bite incidents or significant aggression.
• Complex or repeated reactivity.
• Resource guarding.
• Significant fear or anxiety.
• Separation-related distress requiring a programme.
• Several problems that need to be assessed together.
• Cases where the environment or your dog needs to be seen in person.
If the problem is complex, the most useful and cost-effective starting point is usually the full Behaviour Consultation rather than trying to fit an assessment into an Advice Call.
The call itself and a short follow-up email confirming the main points discussed.
The Advice Call does not include a detailed written assessment, bespoke Training Plan or ongoing case-specific email support.
If your question is specific and does not require me to assess your dog in person, the Advice Call gives you a focused half hour to talk it through.
