Clear expectations make appointment changes easier to manage.
This policy applies to booked appointments and explains what happens if you need to cancel, rearrange or do not attend.
STATUTORY CANCELLATION RIGHTS
Online and telephone bookings may carry a 14-day right to cancel.
Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, you may have 14 days from entering into a service contract to cancel without giving a reason. If you expressly ask me to begin providing the service during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for any service already supplied before you cancel. These statutory rights take priority over the 72-hour appointment policy below.
MORE THAN 72 HOURS
Cancellation with more than 72 hours’ notice
If you cancel more than 72 hours before the appointment, the fee will be refunded less a £10 administration charge.
WITHIN 72 HOURS
Late cancellation and rearrangement
Appointments close to the scheduled time are harder to refill.
CANCELLATION
Less than 72 hours’ notice
If you cancel within 72 hours of the appointment, I may retain or charge an amount up to the full appointment fee where this reasonably reflects the loss caused by the cancellation, taking account of any costs avoided and any reasonable opportunity to offer the appointment to somebody else.
Further postponements may result in the fee being retained.
If a rearranged appointment is postponed again, or subsequently cancelled at short notice, I may apply a cancellation charge on the same proportional basis described above.
NO-SHOWS
A missed appointment is treated as a late cancellation
If you do not attend a booked appointment without notice, it may be treated in the same way as a cancellation made within 72 hours and charged on the same proportional basis.

The more notice you can give, the easier it is to make changes and offer the appointment to somebody else.
