We agree the goal for the session, work through the training together and decide what you need to practise afterwards. Where it is useful, I will support the work with a simple Training Plan.
NEW OR DEVELOPING SKILLS
Build the next piece of training
This might be a new skill, a more advanced version of something your dog already knows, or a problem in the mechanics that needs individual coaching before you can progress.
PRACTICAL COACHING
Teach it properly, then take it away and practise.
The session is there to give you clarity: what to train, how to train it and how to progress it. The aim is not to keep repeating the same appointment, but to give you work you can use between sessions.
WAYS TO USE IT
Ways to use one-to-one coaching
Sessions can be used occasionally or as part of a more regular coaching rhythm, depending on the skill and what you want to achieve.
OCCASIONAL
Learn a new skill
Work through a new training goal with individual guidance and a clear plan for practice afterwards.
If a significant new behaviour problem has appeared, especially where fear, aggression, guarding or safety is involved, we may need to step back and assess that properly rather than treating it as an ordinary practice session.
